Runaway Storm

Dramatic title is dramatic.... ANYWAYS XD This is my BES horse, Flesh and Stone in Bayside's 'Thrills and Spills' competition. STORY TIME:

Izzy came to the barn in an especially sour mood. Her day had been terrible; her alarm clock failed to go off, her dog had gotten in a fight with the neighbor's dog, her car got a flat tire, and that had cost her terribly to fix, since she had no clue how to do it herself.

Not feeling like tacking up, she grabbed her stallion, Blink, out of his stall. She had been working on him to respond to a neck rope, and he was doing decently. She decided she would take him on a simple bareback trail ride with the neck rope, and just relax.

By the time she had started out, threatening clouds could be seen in the distance. Izzy ignored them, thinking that they were miles away. But by the time she reached the top of a hill, she saw a seemingly solid wall of rain racing towards them.

Blink got skittish, and tramped in place. Trying to stay calm, and using a soothing voice, Izzy calmed the horse down enough that she could control him. But seconds later, a bolt of lightening split the air, with thunder so loud you could feel it. Not surprisingly, Blink bolted off, leaving both Izzy, and her fancy little neck rope, behind on the ground. He ran back to the barn where he felt safe, but Izzy had to walk back, clothes drenched and stained with mud. The perfect end to the perfect day
